Thinking Strategies

Central to the 7th grade Humanities course are the 7 reading strategies (based on the research of David Pearson).  We focus on five of the seven in 7th grade, leaving of Creating Images (C/I) and Synthesizing (Syn) and use the strategies as an annotation tool and the foundation of our class discussions and writing assignment.  Click on the pages below to find lessons and activities on each of the strategies.
