Asking Questions

a. When you want to gain a greater understanding of the text, you write an A/Q post its.

b. M/M is for when you literally don’t understand something in the text, A/Q is to ask about something to gain greater understanding of the text

c. When you ask a question, try to answer it.

Examples:

“Why did the Pilgrims have a more peaceful relationship with the Indians than the other English people did? Is it because they came with different intentions like not trying to become wealthy and find gold.  This may have caused them to have a better relationship.”

A Monitor for Meaning Post it would be more like,

“What does the bureaucracy mean? It sounds like it has to do with government structure or the way people work in a government.”
